Research Posters for Scientific Conferences present the findings of recent experiments in a concise and graphically friendly layout. The presentation of conference posters has become an integral part of the research process. It allows scientists the opportunity to review a myriad of the latest discoveries in their field. Because the poster is typically presented in an interactive setting, it allows researchers to gain feedback on their own experiments. For young researchers and graduate students, presenting a poster at a conference can serve as an ingression into a particular field of study.

The rules and guidelines for viewing, citing, or submitting a poster to the OneSci database.
- Conference posters are typically not peer-reviewed beyond the accepted abstract.
- The principle investigator can request an ISBN or DOI for citation purposes.
- Do not submit a poster that includes figures already published in journals that are not open-access.
- If figures, graphs, tables, etc. from the poster are unaltered before they are published in journals that are not open-access, take down the poster, put a citation in the place of the copyrighted figure, and load it back up.
Your poster is covered by the C.C. Attribution-No Derivative Works 3.0 License

How to Cite a Conference Poster
Each scholarly journal will have their own guidelines about how to format citations for conference posters. It's typically only acceptable to cite conference posters in-text and in the works-cited section if the data and abstract have been printed in the conference bulletin. In-text citations will generally be the same, with the author and date: (Smith, 2008). Citing a poster in the bibliography will follow this general format:
Lastname, J.N. and Lastname, A.T. (Year, Month). Title of the Poster. Poster session - Name
of the Conference that the Poster was Presented, City, State.
For Example:
Monk, B.R. and Biane, J. (2009, June). How to Properly Cite a Research Poster in the Bibliography.
Poster session - Annual APA Format and MLA Format Conference on Citing Research Posters,
San Diego, CA.
