A user labeled as a Bot is not an actual person, but a script designed by one of our users to carry out automated processes that would either be too tedious in manner or in the amount of time dedicated to such tasks. Bots make edits under a "user" account because they too need to be accountable for the edits they make, and if errors or disputes arise, will be subject to the ban hammer like any other user would be. Of course, if such errors occur, in keeping good faith, a bot can be repaired and allowed to once again make edits under a probation period.
